They assumed they needed planning permission and a long process. We confirmed it was permitted development and checked the estate covenants — clearing the way in days, not months.
The design solution
The integral garage was insulated, damp-proofed and fitted with a new window and proper heating, creating two quiet desk spaces with built-in storage.
